A rich melange of some of Melbourne's great architectural practices, past and present

Stephan Crafti's online article published on January 25 analyzes the past and present architects of RMIT's New Academic Street.

When writing about MvS Architect's contribution, Craft highlights that MvS took inspiration from some of the features included by the late architect Peter Corrigan of Edmond & Corrigan.

Collabration, with the late Corrigan, extensive knowledge and understanding of the past and present street scrape of the surrounding area and the needs of the university were used to formulate our interpretation.

A unique connection with Bowen Street which can be clearly read in their presentation of a series of mirrored concertina-like balustrades to Swanston Street, capturing the spirit of Edmond & Corrigan’s playful exterior from the early 1980s.
