Denis Peters, reporting in the Hamilton Spectator on Tuesday December 8th 2015, writes of the Hamilton Gallery's new director's passion for developing and upgrading the Hamilton Gallery.
The previous Wednesday night, the gallery director, Sarah Schmidt, gave a talk to members of the Hamilton public outlining her ambitions for the development of the gallery and its collection - during which she thanked the Felix Community Group, Maudie Palmer and Jan van Schaik for their support to date and speculated on Jan van Schaik as an 'historical figure in the development of regional galleries'.
