The new two level building proposed for Jalan Bellamy provide a new gateway to the school, offering support for students and parents alike.
It comprises of a ground level open air shaded cafeteria serviced by a kitchen that also provides catering for the balance of the campus in place of the existing deli currently on the wrong side of the bus drop off. Arching over a sunken play area to the east an architectural stair advertises and provides entry to the parent’s centre via a parent’s deli for those wishing merely to socialise. Immediately west of this stair an elevator provides access for the less able.
The parents’ centre, who’s function is in providing all inclusive information about the school, comprises of flexible spaces, informal meeting areas and windows looking north over the assembly area and a balcony to the south.
This project won the 2015 Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) Award GOLD in Category 13: Collaboration.
